Dragan Ćetenović was born on September, 13th 1988 in Užice, Serbia. He finished primary and secondary school in Ivanjica. During his primary and secondary education, he received numerous awards and recognitions.

In 2007 he enrolled at Technical Faculty (today Faculty of Technical Sciences) Čačak, on study program Electrical Engineering. He graduated in 2011, defending Bachelor's thesis titled "Software package EPLAN in design and analysis of low-voltage electrical installations" with the highest final grade 10. He is award winner for the best graduated student on the study program Electrical Engineering, with average grade 9,16 during studies.

Upon completion of Undergraduate Studies, he enrolled in Master academic studies at the same Faculty, on study program Electrical and Computer Engineering, module Electrical Power Systems. He earned his master's degree in 2013, defending Master's thesis titled "Impact of distributed generation on system protection in middle voltage distribution network" with the highest final grade 10 and average grade 10,00 during studies.

During the studies, he was awarded scholarships repeatedly by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and the Municipality of Ivanjica. After graduation, he started working at the Faculty of Technical Sciences as an Graduate Student Instructor at the Department of Power Engineering. In February 2014, he was elected for the Teaching Assistant at the same Department.

He is currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, on study program Electrical and Computer Engineering, module Electric Power Engineering.

He is a reviewer in the IEEE Transactions on Power Systems.
